Lilly Singh in workout gear says “Fear Conquered” after basketball game

Lilly Singh is hitting the basketball court in her workout gear. In a new post, the Canadian YouTuber and host shows off her incredible figure while working out. “Conquered fear made zero buckets but tons of memories and I agree with mine #goals being spiritual,” she captioned the post. “Thanks to everyone who has encouraged me.” How does the 35-year-old approach diet, fitness and self-care? Lilly detailed her week a Women’s Health, revealing that he starts each day with an “hour and a half morning routine.” The first thing he does? “I get out of bed, stretch,” he says. “Stretching keeps muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in our joints,” she says. Harvard health. “Without this, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they’re weak and can’t stretch all the way. This puts you at risk for joint pain, strain and muscle damage.”

Lilly gets zen every day. “I meditate for 20 minutes. I drink tea,” he continues. “When you meditate, you can eliminate the information overload that accumulates every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

Part of your routine is to take a few steps with the help of your dog. “I go for a walk. I spend time with my dog,” he says. Taking a daily walk can be a game changer when it comes to exercise, especially at a brisk pace. A study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared to walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Lilly practices eating with time restrictions. “At one o’clock, I’ll break my fast because I’m doing intermittent fasting and I’m going to eat. So I start eating at 1:00 p.m. and stop eating at 9:00 p.m., which is good because it forces me to have lunch, so I it really helps to have that break in the day,” she told Women’s Health. “For lunch, I’ll probably have chicken with a side of roasted carrots or fish made in my fryer because it makes me feel like I know how to cook. Eight minutes in the fryer, the chef’s kiss with a side of broccoli.”

Lilly gets a massage once a week. “I will continue to work until six at 7:00 p.m. because on Mondays I get a massage. At 9:00 p.m. I get a 90-minute massage by a lovely masseuse who comes to my house because I’m very lucky and I recognize that I get a hour and a half massage,” she says. According to the Mayo Clinic, studies support the many benefits of getting regular rubs. These include reducing stress, decreasing pain and muscle tension, increasing relaxation and improving immunity.

Lilly gives herself love on Sundays. It starts with a deep conditioning treatment. “I put on a mask before I sleep. I sit outside with nature. I do everything,” she told Women’s Health. “Taking care of myself on Sunday. It’s my favorite day at the end of the day. Wellness is about finding the combination of things and activities that work for you. I think for so long in my life I convinced myself that I had my routine, it had to look like everyone else’s, but that just wasn’t right for me, I love working the way I do and I love taking care of myself the way I do, and that combination is right for me”.
